About the role
As a Senior Backend Engineer at TheWebVale, you will design the foundation for multi-tenant SaaS tools, ERP backends, and high-volume transaction engines. You will ensure our client platforms handle scale, maintain data security, and operate with zero unplanned downtime.
You will collaborate directly with our founder and guide junior engineers throughout our two-to-three week release cycles. You will shape our technical roadmap and deliver dependable software architectures that clients own 100%.
What you will do
- Architect scalable backend services, databases, and microservice boundaries.
- Design fault-tolerant data pipelines and disaster recovery backup protocols.
- Lead technical reviews of backend pull requests to enforce studio quality standards.
- Mentor backend engineers on query optimization, caching, and clean architecture.
- Audit server infrastructure and API endpoints for security vulnerabilities.
- Establish database indexing strategies and connection pooling configurations.
What you will need
- Have 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience in production.
- Demonstrate deep mastery of Node.js, Go, or Python, with strong TypeScript skills.
- Show extensive experience architecting complex SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Understand distributed systems, message brokers, caching, and network protocols.
- Possess a proven track record of mentoring developers and leading technical designs.
- Communicate architectural trade-offs confidently to technical and business leaders.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or BullMQ event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration and Terraform infra.
- Knowledge of SOC2, HIPAA, or financial data compliance regulations.
