About the role
As a Senior Microservices Engineer at TheWebVale, you will architect modular, distributed services for our enterprise client platforms. You will design service boundaries, asynchronous event queues, and database per-service architectures for high-traffic SaaS and ERP software.
You will partner with our founder and senior engineers to lead complex system designs in two-to-three week release intervals. You will establish best practices for service discovery, fault tolerance, and independent service deployments.
What you will do
- Design modular microservice architectures with clear bounded business contexts.
- Implement event-driven communication using message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Configure gRPC and REST interfaces for high-speed inter-service communications.
- Implement resilience patterns including circuit breakers, retries, and rate limits.
- Ensure data consistency across distributed boundaries using transactional outbox patterns.
- Mentor engineering teams on microservice decomposition and maintainability.
What you will need
- Have 5+ years of software development experience architecting distributed services.
- Show deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Go, or Python in microservice setups.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis.
- Understand distributed transaction challenges, eventual consistency, and idempotency.
- Possess experience containerizing services and orchestrating deployments with Docker.
- Communicate complex architectural designs through clear diagrams and documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes or container mesh technologies.
- Familiarity with CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) patterns.
- Knowledge of distributed tracing using Jaeger or Zipkin.
