About the role
As a Design Operations Specialist at TheWebVale, you will establish the systems, workflows, and tooling infrastructure that enable our design team to thrive. You will standardize Figma workspaces, streamline asset pipelines, and improve collaboration between designers and engineers.
You will work directly with our founder, design leads, and engineering teams during our two-to-three week release cadences. You will eliminate operational friction, manage design tool licenses, and ensure project assets are organized and accessible.
What you will do
- Standardize Figma workspace structures, project templates, and file naming conventions.
- Streamline developer handoff processes, ensuring design specs and tokens are unambiguous.
- Manage design tool software licenses, plugin integrations, and shared asset libraries.
- Track design delivery timelines, identify workflow bottlenecks, and propose optimizations.
- Establish onboarding documentation and training guides for incoming design staff.
- Coordinate cross-functional syncs between design and engineering to align roadmaps.
What you will need
- Possess 2–4 years of experience in design operations, design program management, or UX.
- Demonstrate thorough practical knowledge of Figma, workspace administration, and plugins.
- Understand digital product design lifecycles, sprint rituals, and engineering handoffs.
- Show exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple project streams.
- Exhibit strong empathy for both creative design mindsets and technical developer needs.
- Communicate process adjustments clearly and build enthusiastic consensus across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing design token synchronization tools like Tokens Studio.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Notion, Linear, or Jira.
- Background in digital agency or software studio operations.
