About the role
As a Junior Frontend Developer at TheWebVale, you will contribute directly to client projects ranging from school websites to retail applications. You will turn Figma wireframes into clean HTML, CSS, and React components while expanding your practical engineering skills.
You will pair with senior developers and receive regular mentorship throughout our two-to-three week release cycles. You will participate in code reviews, gain real project experience, and ship production code that clients rely on daily.
What you will do
- Build clean, responsive UI components using React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Fix reported UI styling bugs and layout inconsistencies across mobile devices.
- Connect basic frontend forms to backend REST endpoints under senior guidance.
- Participate actively in team code reviews to learn studio standards and patterns.
- Inspect design files in Figma to retrieve typography tokens and visual assets.
- Document completed tasks and test component behavior across common browsers.
What you will need
- Hold 0–1 years of experience or practical training in frontend development.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of HTML5, modern CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Show basic familiarity building components with React or similar modern libraries.
- Understand responsive web design concepts and mobile-friendly layouts.
- Have basic comfort with Git commands including branching, staging, and commits.
- Bring enthusiasm to learn, accept feedback, and grow into a strong engineer.
Nice to have
- Personal projects or portfolio links demonstrating responsive web layouts.
- Familiarity with TypeScript basics and modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON data structures.
